The magical Talisman and its powerful abilities.

Talisman, is an object that is believed to hold magical powers within. The powers inside the Talisman brings good luck to the holder of the Talisman and some Talisman also protects the holder from bad spirits and evil magic.

On a Talisman is usually a symbol that represents the specific powers of such symbol. The symbol shape and style is a result from the age and culture that the symbol is derived from. In this article, we will take a look at 2 of the symbols in the international world from many religions and cultures in order to give an idea to how important symbols are in the world. Next, we will take a look at 3 of the symbols in Thailand that are the most popular symbols that are on Fabric Talisman’s in Thailand. The history, along with the creation and purpose of Fabric Talisman’s will also be included. Where Fabric Talisman’s are very common in Thailand and can be found normally in households and in shops at all the provinces in Thailand, with various symbols giving different effects to each specific Fabric Talisman. Through looking at these symbols, there will be information on the description of the symbols such as the history, the meaning behind the symbols, and a brief history of the symbols.

These symbols are highly respected as they are not only pictures but are a representation of the powers that these symbols put out into the world. Symbols have been with civilizations for a long time and have believed by the people in those civilizations to be powerful and sometimes represent the higher power. The first internationally used symbol that we will take a look at is the Swastika symbol. This is perhaps one of the oldest Symbols that have been discovered on Talisman’s. The history of the Swastika goes way back to the Stone Age Period. There are drawings of the Symbol on the Stone walls of caves that were living areas of the people back then. The symbol usually includes arms to either the left or the right, both being common from the ruins on the walls. While in Asia, mainly found in India the Swastika symbol is also found where both arms turn towards both sides.

The Second international Symbol, is the Seal of Solomon this is commonly referred to as the interlaced triangle where there is a six angled star in the middle that is formed from two triangles overlapping each other, then the star is in a circle that touches each of the points at the end of each angle. In between each angle is small dot, with a total of six dots in the symbol.  The meaning behind the shape of the symbol, is that the upward triangle represents the good and the downwards triangle represents the evil. The upward symbol, has been traced back to the Trinity, this was discovered to be used in many nations, including India, Japan, and other Asian nations. The three angles that are within the triangle is believed to symbolize the Grand Creator, the name of the Grand creator varies according to the religion, examples are, Shiva, the Creator, God, Isis, Osiris. In Christianity, the Trinity was also referred to as the Holy Trinity. The belief is that the triangle represents two elements in life, this is the Spirit and the Fire, where three virtues come long, this includes the Love, the the Wisdom, and the Truth. The downward triangle represents two elements of life, which is the Water, and the Earth, where the other three represents the enemies of our souls, this includes the Flesh, the Devil, the Hate and the World itself. The overlapping of the triangles together represent how the spirit wins over the matter elements. The Seal of Solomon has been found in many civilizations, and religions in the world.  The symbol is very famous from the decision of King Solomon to use the symbol as a representation of Genii. Although, the history of the symbol itself goes further back. The symbol was in clear use in the time of the Jewish Dispensation, but it is guessed to have existed long before such period entered. The powers that are within this symbol is very powerful, the symbol itself has been included in many books, including novels where the symbol because of its strong history has played an important part in the stories, it is often referred to as the All-Powerful. These powers include, the absolute power and the protection from all evil, including human evil behaviour and the evil that you can't see.
