In today's world, there have been developments to the Kratong, many use colorful bread in the shape of a Kratong, turtle, or fishes, this is done with the purpose of making the Kratong a delicious snack for the fishes in the river when floated. The bread Kratong will also be floated with incense sticks and a candle. Before floating, the people will light up the incense sticks and candles than say a pray to mother earth to say sorry to all the bad things that we throw away in the water, such as the waste from our body, then we will thank her for all the water she provides us with for our life and the earth that we live on. Then the kratong will be floated on to the river. This creates a beautiful scene on the river as hundreds of krathongs float on the river together and ending up in the middle of the river together in harmony, representing the beauty of mother earth.
